Yuasa NP series batteries are high capacity maintenance-free sealed lead-acid batteries that require almost no maintenance due to fixed electrolyte, perfect sealing structure and recombination of gas inside the battery, ensuring that there is no electrolyte leakage from the battery housing or terminals. They can be used in a horizontal position (sideways). At an operating temperature of 25°C, the service life is 3-5 years.

NP series batteries use a unique electrolyte suspension system and are equipped with fine glass mat (AGM) to maximize the retention of electrolyte in the battery. Valve-controlled design, equipped with a safe low-pressure exhaust system, can release excess gas and automatically reseal the battery when gas accumulates due to overcharging.

Post-installation inspection and testing:

1. After installation, perform floating charge for 8 to 12 hours to fully charge the battery.

2. No-load test: Turn on the UPS and check whether it switches to battery mode normally.

3. Load test: Simulate a power outage to observe whether the UPS can supply power normally and maintain it for a sufficient time.

4. Regular inspection: Check the battery voltage and whether the connection is loose every 3 to 6 months; clean the battery surface to prevent dust from causing leakage or corrosion.
